Who We Are
✽ Árbol del Sur
An Organisation Working for the Earth
We are a civil association committed to carrying out practices that promote a sense of awareness and integration with nature and biodiversity conservation of the native mountain valley of the central mountain ranges of the province of San Luis, Argentina.
Our Mission
We aim to promote human potential development through social learning processes by building a connection between ancient and modern knowledge based on Nature’s wisdom.
Our Vision
We aim to provide new meaning and value to indigenous and ancient wisdom by preserving values oriented towards a systemic approach concerning the human/nature unit to raise increased socio-environmental awareness.
Our Goals
We aim to build a School of Ancient Roots of the Earth to raise a generation of young Guardians of Nature who recover forgotten handmade artisan techniques to generate a sustainable circular economy to strengthen their local community.
✽ Our Philosophy: The Natural Cycle
To Sync the Earth’s Heartbeat
We cannot protect what we do not understand. That is why our work arises from observing and inhabiting the rhythms of nature. Our philosophy translates into concrete tools that invite you to connect with the area more consciously and presently.
For the past 8 years, we have been developing research and study material focused on the cycles of nature inspired by the Chakana—an ancient Andean symbol. This tool acts as a time and space organiser, inviting us to sync to the movements of the Sun, the Moon, the seasons, and our own body..
A Lunisolar Calendar that we called Time and Space Matrix for South America, a path to return to our own essence:

Lunisolar Calendar
Since 2019, we have already created 7 editions, all of them based on ancient wisdom and the reality of the southern hemisphere.
It has reached + 2,000 homes as well as schools and other public and private institutions. It can be found in 15 Argentine provinces and brother nations, such as Uruguay, Bolivia, and Chile.
It participates in the scientific, cultural, and educational exhibition of the Andean Condor Conservation Programme—PCCA—that travels across Argentina, where it can be enjoyed by hundreds of people interested in this topic.

Raising Awareness
San Martín Jail
Unit Number 48
Our work was based on providing self-knowledge tools and Tai Chi lessons—an ancient practice consisting of physical, mental, and spiritual training—that helped to improve the lives of 250 inmates.
Also, we conducted artistic works such as three murals painted in the prison yard of wing number 11. The paintings showed the cultural value that native animals, such as the condor, puma, and snake, hold for indigenous communities.
